Confirmation The purpose of Confirmation Preparation at St. Francis de Sales Parish is to create full and active members of the Catholic Church and St. Francis de Sales Parish.  We want our teens to come to know God the Father, become aware of how and where the Holy Spirit is active in their lives and be challenged to BE LIKE JESUS in the world today.  The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the 4:30 pm Mass with Auxiliary Bishop Roger Gries.


  • Be a baptized Catholic who has received First Communion
  • Be a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish or have permission of your pastor
  • Attend Mass regularly
  • Attend regular PSR classes or religion classes at St. Francis de Sales School
  • Attend Confirmation Preparation Sessions on Sunday evenings and actively participate
  • Complete monthly service reports and an essay
  • Complete a report about your Confirmation Name Saint
  • Complete two out of class sessions with your sponsor (December & February)
  • Attend day of retreat
  • Attend rehearsal with Sponsor
