Social Justice

Our mission is to be a prayerful, sensitive, caring, confidential and helpful presence to families and individuals in need in our parish community. We promote awareness of these needs and provide a way for every member of our parish to share their God-given talents with those less fortunate.

We accept staple food items year-round, run food drives at holidays and as needed. These items are delivered with supplemental grocery certificates at holidays and other times if needed. Members prepare and serve a monthly luncheon at the West Side Catholic Center. We visit parish shut-ins and nursing home residents. During Advent each year we sponsor the “Angel Caring Tree”. We hold an annual rummage sale to raise money for gift cards, food to supplement the donations that we receive, and for miscellaneous expenses.
